Churnet Woodland Crafts

I am a green woodworker and hedge layer, utilising materials from sustainable woodland management to create beautiful and bespoke products. I specialise in making gates and benches, mostly on a commissioned basis.

Most of the wood I use comes from well managed woodlands within the Churnet Valley, much of which I harvest myself. Other wood I source from elsewhere in Staffordshire or neighbouring counties, keeping the product miles to a minimum. I use a range of timbers, mostly British hardwoods, making the best use of each species' properties whether it be natural durability, strength or workability.
